A Visit to the Dark Side
“We are finally here,“ said Karen. High above London on the London Eye, Karen viewed the city through the lens of her camera.
“We will play the tourist by day and visit the darker side of London at night right, ” asked Bill?
Unsure of what Bill had in mind, Karen asked, “Did you make any specific plans for this darker side?”
“I’ll explain during dinner tonight.” “Should we take a ride on that contraption,” questioned Bill as he pointed at the pleasure ride?
Later, bursting with excitement, Bill detailed that evening’s plans. “I have booked us on the Jack the Ripper Walk at Tower Hill, a tour given by renowned authority, Donald Rumbelow.”
“Don’t they take you through the streets while telling the story and the tour ends at The Ten Bells, the pub that was in the midst of the nightmare,” said Karen? “I’m up for a visit to a pub.”
“It says in the brochure that they evoke that autumn of gaslight and fog, of menacing shadows and stealthy footsteps while you inspect the murder sites and sift through the evidence in all its gory detail,” whispered Bill.
Karen and Bill took the Tube to their evening adventure.
