What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week Lillie McFerrin will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word.

The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction. This week: ENRAPTURE

Lillie McFerrin Writes

A plain woman walked out on the stage while the audience and judges thought her a joke.  She said she wanted to be a professional singer like Elaine Paige and again they laughed.  She said she was going to sing I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables.  The music began and Susan Boyle’s voice enraptured the world.  Weren’t we always taught to not judge a book by its cover?
