The first execution by the electric chair occurred on this date, August 6, 1890 so my six word stories will use the word CHAIR as a theme and execute both six on the sixth and my daily historical posting.
William Kemmler struck with an axe.
Murdered Matilda Ziegler with that axe.
To Auburn Prison New York he went.
Albert Southwick, dentist, wanted humane executions.
Edwin Davis, prison electrician designed chair.
Execution with 700 volts, then 1,030.
