“I know viewing vacation photos can become torture for other people so please tell us when you’ve had enough,” said Kim.

“No problem Kim.  We’ll let you know if it gets too much,” said her brother James.

Two teen boys snickered.  A glare from James told Tom and Mike that they would not be excused from watching.

The first slide came on the screen and Kim’s husband Paul spoke, “this is the Lengai Summit in Tanzania.”

“Uncle Paul too bad about the red shirts but at least Scotty was able to beam you and the Captain up,” laughed Mike.

Trekkies Unite!! A day without a Star Trek allusion is like a day without . . . well, like almost any other day but not as much fun. Thanks and happy trekking.

What a heart-warming story. I know my sister and I caught similar “looks” from our parents when we had to endure family slide-viewing sessions. I truly enjoyed looking at the pictures, but my sis and I always got cracked up over some thing or other.

    Cheers!

love the family scenario you set up here. it was easy to see the faces of the two brothers…bet they rolled their eyes up and let out a few exasperated sighs.
