Have you ever taken part in a writing chain?
Kerrie Salsac has created a novel writing challenge. Head over to her place to take a look. You can see all the rules there too.
Here is my third submission for The Wall
“Switch me back?” gasped Jadir.
“Just imagine and it will be.”
Jadir thought of his svelte body and handsome face. Opening his eyes, Eliya was standing before him again.
“What good is this power against what we face out there?”
“I can show you skills with these weapons and you will kill creatures as my people have for many years but there will always be more to fight. Now that you are among us, we stand a chance for the very first time.”
“I still don’t understand. What can switching with another human do?”
“You won’t be switching with a human.”
Great follow up MaryAnn. Wonderful! Let’s see what happens now.

Oh, my goodness! That’s a serious twist in the end. I like it! Eliya outlined for him exactly what I was hoping for. Now we just got to get him there.

Hopefully the fact that he still was Jadir inside when he took on Eliya’s body will hold true for non human beings.

Hopefully. Transferring to an alien could be very tricky. There might be unexpected side effects.

Eliya has got the best intentions for jadir in mind right? We are just taking her word that she is on the level. What if she is evil and co-opting Jadir’s powers for her own design?
