Black Ice Haiku

Winter weather cold

My antagonist today

Black ice silent war

Morning rush hour

With snow, drivers take care

Black ice silent war

Shiny streets and roads

You sparkle an evil path

Black ice silent war

Breaks are antilock

Vibration throughout the car

Black ice silent war

Vehicles slip and skid

Explosion on the highway

Black ice silent war

Sirens all around

Rescue the people in need

Black ice silent war

Arrived at office

A scary commute is done

Black ice silent war

I really like how you creatively used color to add an additional dimension to the haiku.

I loved this, both the use of the words and the design aspect.

  3. Ermilia says:

The design was a great idea. Using colour to draw attention to the ‘black ice’. Thanks for contributing this week, Maryann! 🙂
