The Assignment: The idea of Photo Fiction is write a story of around 100-200 words (which is also called Flash Fiction) based on a photo as a prompt. In this particular photo fiction, the story must be based on the photo below.



Wooden ship high on a shelf

Daddy said, “It’s not a toy”

Mommy scolded, “Do not touch”

He had to see

After all, he’s a boy.


Porcelain doll in the curio case

Daddy said, “It’s not a toy”

Mommy scolded, “Do not touch”

She had to see

After all, she’s a girl.


Shiny guns locked up tight

Dad said, “Guns are not toys”

Mom scolded, “Never touch”

He found the key

After all, he’s a curious teen.


Bottles of spirits locked in the cabinet

Dad said, “Wine is for grown ups”

Mom scolded, “Do not drink”

She found the key

After all, she’s a curious teen.
