Resubmitted for the Weekly Writing Challenge: Moved by Music

I originally wrote this post for my daily history posting for September 27th.  It was about two months of completing a little bit of it on different days.  I think it fits todays prompt so I decided to post it again.

Back in 1989, the song We Didn’t Start the Fire recorded by Billy Joel was released on September 27th.  When my boyfriend (now husband) and I first heard this song we decided that we needed to look up all the historical references mentioned in the lyrics.  Widespread use of the internet didn’t come until the 1990s, so we headed to the local public library and used various reference books to look up all the historical references.  Hot date right :).  Now my fifteen year old daughter loves the song and actually doesn’t think mom and dad were uncool for doing the research.  There’s a change.  So for an update to our research project in 1989, I give you We Didn’t Start the Fire by Billy Joel, in photographs.
